LIfe at High Altitude in Colorado

May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds.

Watching Fall Skies - Skywatch Friday

days of blue and gold
leaves, sky, and light the gifts
nature brings to the party

I spend as much time as possible outdoors hiking and biking - savoring fall.
 Check out other skies here:

  8. Great shots, fall in Colorado is so beautiful. I think the aspens on my favorite trails are peaking this weekend, and I can't go and see them since I'm on call (I work in software).

tell me, who is following - way down the road...it looks like a standing bear...

do you ever feel like having a stationary bike indoors for the winter?

  16. Autumn aspens, these shots are so perfectly Colorado. And that road! What could be better than to bike it?

  17. What an amazing shade of yellow. Don't think any other state can compete.
Considering where you are that is a relatively flat stretch of road to bike.

  27. Yes, I suspected Fall had reached you in Colorado Barb! It's too short a season... as evidenced by the leaves already fallen to the ground... I wish it would linger a bit! I have been watching the progress of color change on our local mountain. It is amazing to me how much it changes from day to day! Love the shot of fall color along the road- looks inviting!

  28. Beautiful golden trees, makes me wish more than ever that I had taken a train trip through Colorado before I left the USA. I zoomed in on the last photo to check out the 'bear' someone thought they saw...I think he was riding a bike too...!

  32. hello Barb,
autumn through your lens and heart is lovely and gorgeous too. So wonderful to see your colorful world.
    sweet week to you.

  33. Georgeous photos! I hope all of the rain doesn't cause the leaves to fall too early. We still have a lot of green here, but I know one windstorm could wipe them all out.

  34. Just looking at your bright skies and yellow trees and autumn energy makes me want to get outside. OK, maybe not bike. But to take a nice walk and breathe deeply the fall world... Thank you.

  35. It's looks like that here also! I am trying to spend every single minute I can outdoors. We actually are expecting snow Thursday or Friday!

  38. Hello,Barb.
What a beautiful fall and biking,Barb. You are riding on a bike with only one hand!! I wish I could do that like you! I am a clumsy woman about cycling.

I am thinking of you. Are you fine?
    I have returned to blogging.

    Many thanks my friend.
    Enjoy the fall.
