Denver is having a fabulous spring, with cool nights and warm days.
Blooms are everywhere.
Bees are, too!
On a walk, I met a Snowy Egret searching for lunch.
He posed for his portrait.
I reflected on his grace as he flew away.
Back in Breckenridge, just 90 miles from Denver, I light a fire to warm the Great Room.
Clouds gather - snow is predicted.
No matter where I am, I'm appreciating the beauty of spring!
(I'm composing and will publish this post using my iPad and the Blogsy app.)

Love those beautiful flowers and that egret. Can't believe you guys are still getting snow on the mountain but then you usually do til May I think. Carol
ReplyDeleteWhere were you when you saw the egret? wow, he is pretty! Glad your weather is good. I know you want snow in the mountains, so don't feel bad about it. I have been outdoors these last few days working on the garden.
ReplyDeleteSpring has sprung!
Hi Sandy, The Egret was in City Park, about 2 miles from my Denver house. I've need seen one there before. Yes, we could definitely use ether snow or rain here in the Mts - it's too dry.
DeleteBeautiful photos, Barb. I would frame that first shot. Your great room looks warm and cozy. As usual, I love the snowy mountain view...so pretty.
ReplyDeleteSo nice you get to experience spring twice. Let it snow.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots as always - I really love the moodiness of that last one. I'm enjoying the spring here outside Monument too - we had 8 inches of snow on Sunday, but lots of warm, sunny weather before and since.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about the beautiful springtime we are having, and your pictures have illustrated it wonderfully.
ReplyDeleteI just loved the photo of the egret in flight. I too am so appreciating spring. While winter was not a hard one in terms of terms of the weather, it certainly was hard in other ways. You have the best of both worlds: city and mountains showing forth spring beauty.
ReplyDeleteWow - what gorgeous shots of spring - both the warmth of the flowers and the cold beauty of the snow!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. Love the blooms. Your great room certainly looks "mountainly" my Sister down in Colorado Springs also reports a nice spring.
ReplyDeleteI'm proud that you are the master of your technology!
Well done! Glad to know the bees are around. They are so essential to our lives even if we don't like their sting. Beautiful to see your flowers.
ReplyDeleteDenver or Breck, spring is lovely both places but I think it will be awhile before Beckenridge blooms.
ReplyDeleteI like your macro shot! Good for you for being hi-tech. I have a lot to learn.
ReplyDeleteNice photos Barb! You are ever ready for your travel next week.
The Great Room looks a very special place to be - especially with the clouds gathering over the mountains!
ReplyDeleteWonderful Spring! Hang on to a little of it until June if you can! I'm impressed w/ how well you did with your I-Pad -- You can blog from anywhere and everywhere now.
ReplyDeleteSuper pictures Barb, the lake and the flowers.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
so fresh colours and pics...thanks for the spring-kick and smile on my face! I just also took time to read your quotes...they are lovely! sunny smiles from tulipland...
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos Bar, just loved the one of the bee and flower. Spring over there (lovely) and winter approaching here (amazing). Wonderful to know you'll be able to post from 'anywhere'.
ReplyDeleteI loved those Irises Barb. I should get some. They are just beautiful. And by the way, I think it's really neat that you can enjoy spring and still enjoy a fire in the fireplace. I've got the A.C. on already : (
ReplyDeleteLove Di ♥
Such a contrast between the beautiful blooms and the snow clad mountains. I think you are very clever to be posting from your IPad, - Charles and I are still struggling with Smart Phones, - I can read my blog there, but think I will stay with the PC until I get a little older and wiser (or does it work that way, I wonder)
ReplyDeleteSpring and snow, how neat is that. That Egret is quite the ham isn't he. Good to see a bee, they have really been scarce lately.
ReplyDeleteBarb, you captured beauties both at Denver and at your mountain. I especially like the reflections on the pond with flying egret and the contrast of sunshine and shadow in the shades of blue. You can enjoy your springtime twice a year, what a luxury!
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing that egret. Great shots all around and the app works great, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteHow gorgeous! We are having a wonderful spring here also. I'll have to look into the Blogsy app!
ReplyDeleteI have a couple of iris blooming -- there will be many more soon! Those purple and white are beauties. :)
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Barb. Happy spring! Enjoyed your sentence (and photograph) about reflecting his grace as he flew away. also liked seeing your fine Breckenridge living room and fire.
ReplyDeleteLoved the serene photo of the Snowy Egret gliding away, Barb.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have the best of both worlds, Barb! Happy Spring to you ;)
ReplyDeleteI wish I could have a fireplace but it's too hot here where I live most of the year. Beautiful flowers, love the color and detail. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteWe are not building a fire today - 87 degrees predicted in April!!!! Not good - too hot too early. Hopefully we will get a surprise snow a couple more times. Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteStunning photos! I forget to check this blog, and I will not forget next time! Usually your other one comes up when I click on your name. I loved the previous one about buying the swimsuit! I remember when I first started going to our neighborhood pool for water aerobics a few years ago. I wore an ancient swimsuit until it was too faded and too big and I had to buy a new one. I purchased online, so as not to have to shop in public! Now I always buy online, although my last two are the kind that don't fade, so they will last until I either gain more weight (or lose it . . . less likely!).
ReplyDeleteAlso, thanks for the great advice on the iPad. I will likely be asking for more. :) (advice that is!)
A bit of everything but all of it serene and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSpring is a beautiful time of year, that's for sure. How fortunate you are to have the wisdom to recognize it wherever you go.
ReplyDeleteBarb,
ReplyDeleteIt seems now Denver is a perfect dream place for me. Flowers are praising spring. I especially love the last photo, graceful and subtle color combination is so fabulous beyond words.

The bee against the red blossom photo - I don't think I've seen one like it. It's my favorite. And the view from above of your great room makes me want to curl up in front of the fireplace. It's an attractive room; I like all the different patterns.
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of the bee and the reflection of the egret as he flies away. We've had unusually warm weather. We were hoping for a rainstorm today, but so far, no luck.
ReplyDeleteTruly beautiful photos of spring in your parts!
