Absolutely gorgeous photos. If you've got snow already, it will be a long winter.
Great shots!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
OMG! Unbelievable. Are you ready?
What do you think, Carol!
Lovely captures especially the solitary leaf in the snow.
Oh wow, I am glad to see you so happy. I don't know if I would be quite that happy if it did that here. I enjoy the FALL way to much to have WINTER come quite so quickly. Beautiful first snow images!!
Happy Winter (already). I know you love it ... And I love that you do! ...and so I shall say no more:)))
Beautiful images.....I especially love the one leaf in the snow. It's hard to believe you're starting winter, as as the Bay Area summer just began a few weeks ago. Of course, it won't last very long.
Beautiful shots. Winter already and we have summer early too. I popped over from Cynthia when I saw that you were a retired teacher too.
Beautiful photos ~ but snow? Do you usually get snow this time of year? carol, ^_^
Magnificent!!! It'll be a while before we see the white stuff, but you're getting me so excited about the changing seasons!!!
Stunning photos! That first is a blessing! I am not quite ready for winter, still absorbing fall.
Oh gorgeous! my winter wonderland fix - as I melt away in this atrocious tropical heat.No wonder Waldo is smiling - I would be too!!
Beautiful! I'm not quite ready - but I do look forward to it. (And what do you mean you haven't heard of a maple creemee? You just might need to head back this way to try one out ) :-)
I heard this morning about snow in the mountains....your photos gave life to the beauty of it. Enjoy!
Lovely series, I am not ready for cold weather and snow just yet. It is pretty to look at! Waldo on the tree is really cute. Thanks for sharing, have a happy week!
That first snow looks so pretty and pure. I'm looking forward to seeing some in the mountains, but I want to trails to stay clear awhile longer!Your header is lovely, Barb.
Our unseasonable rain turned to a warmth today....and yet, walking home this evening the air felt very much like fall leading into winter. That kind of autumn wind. Beautiful photos from such a beautiful place. All the seasons are wonderful in the Rockies....if you are prepared. :-)
Gorgeous - I can't wait for our first snow. There was snow on Pikes Peak this morning, and we may get some here on top of the Palmer Divide Friday night and Saturday. I hope so!
What a spectacular header photo that you have. Well, I had to run the A/C in the car on the way home. Your shots are beautiful but I'm not ready for the cold yet.
I heard there was snow in the higher elevations! It looks very pretty but I'd be content to let it wait a little longer before it comes down to the foothills :)
I love your new banner photo. It's wonderful! I can see that, while I can see the snow nearby, you are actually in it! I saw your comment that it had melted, and I'm glad for you. It's just a wee bit too early for winter! (but we have snow in the forecast for Friday!). Enjoy those beautiful leaves!
Gorgeous shots! And snow - already! It's going to be a good winter.
I heard there was snow in CO this morning. I am not ready for it yet but you've captured the beauty it's beauty.
It's gorgeous and you are in your element.
What a gorgeous header photo of autumn in full 'bloom'! So your snow has come and you are smiling! Wonderful! I can feel your happiness!Your first photo of that little leaf floating on water in the rain is just lovely. After cold and rain, I live at only 600 metres above lake level, we have a return to sunny days and blue skies. I'm smiling too!Enjoying the seasons as they come to us, in whatever form they take, is the key to contentment! Have fun in your first snowfalls of the season!
What a way to start autumn! Very nice. I miss waking to a world covered in snow - but I'm not sure how I'd cope with winter long snow.Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
Oh gosh snow already is that normal? Or early, we have a sudden warm snap again, and not really liking it, I have been enjoying the change in the weather, still mustn't moan, at least I don't need to put the heating on. Whoa, snow.
My thought is "Too early!" but I know you love it and will be out on your skis soon.
Oh, my! I know you love your snow -- but I don't want to see that here for another few months! Somehow, it looks prettier where you live!
Can't believe you've already got snow! Great photos though.
Wow, lucky you. That sure was a brief fall you had but I do love snow and am envious.
i love waldo! you keep the snow and send me some cool! :) your world is so beautiful. oxox
Beautiful, beautiful photos! We planned to go up to Breck a couple of weekends ago, but with all the flooding and the rain we canceled. :( The mountains are so lovely at this time of year, and it was wonderful to see a dusting of snow on Pikes, Evans, and Longs yesterday. Take care!
I nearly gasped when I saw the snow... already? Wow! I must say I love the single golden leaf and the trees leading into the woods... so beautiful.
We are expecting the first snow I think tomorrow night.I am not ready yet! I have a bunch of stuff to do before winter! Yikes!
Barb, I did see that you got snow in Breck. As much as I love the snow, I'm not ready for it yet.But no worry , it's a gorgeous sunny and pleasantly warm day here :) Gorgeous shots, really!
Wonderful set of images. I like that waldo.
The white of winter... So light and beautiful. Stopping by to say hello Barb. Wishing you many blessings as always!- Maria
Oh gosh Barb, you had a very short fall, and the season has barely got its toes wet here, - just one big tree that towers over the neighbour's shed is turning yellow, but the aspens up in the Cawston Basin are still green. I'm glad you're smiling about it, - anticipating skiing, no doubt~
Now Barb... do not be using the "s" word yet~ Let's call it solid rain for awhile. K? :)
Ohhh! Barb! What beautiful, surprising photos! I am not ready for even autumn here. It was 30° C today. The photo of the yellow leaves in the snow is sooo lovely. The single golden leaf in the snow.... it looks an icy cake! Gorgeous header!Tomoko
Such beautiful photos.. Snow already. WOW!! Hugs~
oops it has already started, The snow is there. For us, this is still months away.Greetings,Filip

I can't believe you already have snow, Barb! Your photos are just beautiful but the snow is what I dreaded :-)
it is way too early for snow! So why is waldo smiling?
A winter wonderland with autumn colours too, so pretty.
It's Oct. 4 and we're back in our shorts and t-shirts! Your lovely photos seem so foreign to me at the moments. Waldo is definitely one to cheer up a passing human. :)
